Kit lives in the tools you already use, and remembers the history you already have. Here is what Kit supports today, with a link to each tool. Anything marked in development is on the way.
A surface is a place Kit can talk with you. Anything that speaks MCP qualifies, so new agent CLIs work the moment they appear. The Mac app detects which of these are installed and connects them for you.
A data source is anything that feeds Kit's memory. Today Kit captures your connected coding tools live as you work. Bringing in your other existing history is in development. Nothing leaves your Mac unless you send it.

Kit has importers for these, but they are not wired into the app yet. Because the local app can ask for your permission, it opens an easier path to bring them in, and to watch folders for new files, which is what we are building next. Listed here so you can see where Kit is heading.
Real-time capture from web chats needs a browser companion, which is its own project. For now these are listed so you know they are coming.
